North Pocono scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to win 6 to 5 in a Junior League State Tournament game. The winning pitcher was Alex Alt. Alex Alt also had a walk off single to score the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Caden Hafner had 2 hits and Jimmy Forti had a double. The team had a total of 9 hits with key hits by teammates DJ Popper, Benji Dial, Tristan Newman, Corey Wall, and David Haines.
The North Pocono Junior League team, who are the Section 5 champions, play tomorrow, Saturday at 5 PM. With a win, they will move onto the semi-finals on Sunday. The state tournament is being played at Cranberry Little League in Seneca, PA which is located about 80 miles from Pittsburg, PA in western PA.
