With the upcoming All-Star games coming soon we are asking for volunteers to help with field preparation, and stand attendance for the nights we host games at Aston and Dandy Lion Fields.
We have our first field maintenance push tomorrow Sunday June 8th at 8am at Aston Field. If you can be there to contribute, or know someone that would, please pass the word. The more volunteers we have the easier things go. If you have questions on how you can contribute to the fields please contact Alan Chillot.
Traditionally the roles for stand attendance fall to parents with kids in the younger divisions (Tee ball-Coach pitch-Minor leagues). The idea being that you volunteer and help out the all-star games while the parents that have kids in those games can enjoy those games without having to sacrifice their time to stand duties. Until recently that worked very well for parents and many of the Parents that have eligible All-Star children did their time when their kids were in the younger divisions. So with that background we ask for a renewed effort to help our league during the moments that we work toward. The kids that develop in this league and work hard to become All-Stars.
If you can volunteer or would like to become part of a rotating group of volunteers for All-Stars please get in touch with our board president Matthew Kalinowski. Also please pass this onto friends or family that may have wanted to contribute, but couldn't find the time to contribute in a continual manner like coaching the kids. Even one or two times in the stand helps, and we are looking for as many volunteers as we can to make things easier for everyone.
