2015 Voting & Board Eligibility

The league has received questions about eligibility to vote at the Sept General Membership Meeting and also eligibility to run for a position on the 2015-2016 NPDLL board.

Per the league constitution, those classified as Regular Members in good standing are eligible to vote at General Membership Meetings.  Regular Members are defined as Officers, Board Members, Committee Members, Managers, Coaches, Volunteer Umpires.

The constitution also states that if individuals do not fall under the above Regular Member classification, they can be considered a Regular Member if they:

  1. “Must perform 25 documented hours of service to the league during the current season.  This excludes the one or two times a season that you may have to work the stand or announce your child’s game”
  2. “Must fully participate in one fundraiser during the current season”

The constitution also states those who are eligible to run for the board:

  1. “Must be a Regular Member in good standing”
  2. “Must have attended at least 3 consecutive regular scheduled board meeting during the current season to have an understand on how to operate the league”. 

If you are interested in running for a board position please email Mark Battle (battle7799@verizon.net) by Aug 31, 2015, stating that you would like to run for a position on the 2015-2016 NPDLL board.

If you are interested in voting for board members, please email Mark Battle (battle7799@verizon.net) by Aug 31, 2015, stating that you would like to vote at the Sept General Membership Meeting.

Based on the criteria in the constitution the board will review all individuals who have submitted their names to see if eligibility matches what is documented in the constitution.

Those that are eligible to vote at the Sept General Membership Meeting and/or run for a position on the 2015-2016 NPDLL board will be notified by Secretary Mark Battle.
